5. Boredom Cures

Boredom sets in
no, it is
not what can I do
to keep busy
writing is always
a cure for that:

I could

try on a new hat
and make childish faces
fulfilling a prophecy,
being a child in adult's clothing

flit from room to room
wearing black
fulfilling a prophecy,
being an old bat

try to pay for my gas
with my driver's license
fulfilling a prophecy,
being a dumb blonde

quit drinking water
or soda or tea
fulfilling a prophecy,
drying up to nothing

but it is boredom of landscape
inside my home
from which I suffer
I think I need to add more clutter.
